ISV Leather bound

Well, there is one day remaining and it doesn’t appear that the ISV.org will get the money they were needing for a leather bound run this year.  However, the ISV foundation isn’t giving up.  Below is a note sent from Dr. Welty himself.

We’re stubborn. We don’t give up   easily. After spending USD$4,000,000 translating the ISV Bible over 16 years,   we’re not going to let this situation stop us.We have a number of options for   typesetting. They will just take a little more time. A plan was sent to us by   a fan out of Australia who works with LaTeX, a typesetting program used to   typeset the World English Bible. Not quite what we were expecting, but   certainly more than adequate. We’re grateful for the  help.

And our ISV Bible with text formatted   for easy conversion into braille is coming along fine. It doesn’t have   footnotes, though. It seems braille doesn’t support them.

And printing will come after we   complete the typesetting. We may have the balance of what we need to print   the ISV in the USA and in Australia/New Zealand by the end of the year. We’re   looking a taking a well-earned draw from the financing of our SWANsat project   if the funding completes by the end of Summer, as we have been told.

We won’t make Christmas, however.   Sorry. But we’ll get it done.

Be sure to tell your friends about   us. It’s OK to lose a battle or two along the way to winning the war.

That being said, there is still 1 day. I have learned that my own understanding, while somewhat useful, isn’t a thing to be leaned on. Now where did I read that? Proverbs maybe? (3:5)
